Loot são items deixados pelos inimigos em Final Fantasy XII que podem ser vendidos em lojas. Já que a maioria dos inimigos em Final Fantasy XII não deixa dinheiro quando são derrotas, vender Loot é o caminho principal para se conseguir Gil. Dependendo dos itens e da quantidade que é vendida, alguns mercados podem colocar armas, armaduras e itens à venda no Bazaar.
Existem dois itens chave que influenciam na Loot deixada pelos inimigos: Monographs adicionam a chance the obtenção de Loot especial de diferentes tipos de inimigos (típicas Pebbles), enquanto o Canopic Jar aumenta as chances dos inimigos deixarem Arcana ou High Arcana para trás.
Vender 1,000 peças de Loot desbloqueia o sprite de Migelo no Sky Pirate's Den, garantindo o jogador o título de Privateer.
Combo de Batalha[]
Um combo de batalha é formado por matar inimigos do mesmo tipo. Exemplo: de Wolf para Wolf ou Hyena para Tartarus. No canto inferior direito da tela, o Nível de Combo mostrará o jogador seu Número Combo. Combos de Batalha influenciam no Loot deixado pelos inimigos. Quanto maior o Combo de Batalha, maior a chance de encontrar Loot rara. Um Combo de Batalha é quebrado se o jogador toca um Gate ou Save Crystal, entra em um refugiado onde o jogador controla apenas Vaan ou mata um tipo diferente de inimigo. O jogador pode matar outro tipo de inimigo e manter o combo intacto usando Break ou Poison.
