This Week's Fight - Firion vs Vaan
This Week's Fight!
Votes for Firion
00:01, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
At least both of them are wearing shirts for this fight. Jimcloud 00:02, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
Hard to choose, but Firion is voiced by JYB. CloudyKrystal 00:28, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
I FEEL IT IN MY BUTT!! SquallRocks01:36, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
Johnny Bosch :D Koharu Nami 01:37, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
I don't care for either but this one is voice by JYB, so he got more points. NeoZEROX 03:09, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
While I liked XII more than II, I enjoy Firion in Disidia, if not for his lines but his attacks and how he flows from one weapon to another. King of Noobs 04:07, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
Vaan along with Tidus are two of my most hated characters. Firion on the other hand is pretty cool, also nothing beats JYB (Lelouch ftw!) --RazielZero 18:35, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
1st of all,I haven't playedFFXII yet,2ndly:I don't know much abot Vaan!In Dissidia(the main one!),Firion immediately became one of my favourite characters(I can't understand why people say,he is boring! At least now he got a personality! In the main game,he was a mysterious, arrogant guy,so indeed he changed a lot!)Also,Vaan is "too New" for me!His technics are a bit hard to use(Though, they work!)but he has four great Hp attack!Despite all these facts,Firion is an old fav of mine!Yes,his fighting technic is hard to use or to get used to,but just like the Emperor,if you once learn how to use him well, you'll be able,to kill down anyone!Shield Bash,Weaponmaster,Lord of Arms,Double Trouble...All of them are killing!...Just be patient!(YEAH,AND CLASSIC FF GAMES RULE,THUMBS DOWN FOR THE NEWBIES!...or some of them!)--LonelyRose 19:34, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Vaan is awesome, he is the most powerful being in the world. Everyone who just looks at him falls dead, so no one can beat him. You cannot deny his power! he is the greatest final fantasy character to ever exist. He just might even befriend the amazing unicorn! Do you sense sarcasm? Good for you. Razordash 23:48, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Firion is boring. Vaan at least has a character that was memorable in some way. With Firion, they might as well have made him a silent protagonist. And in Dissidia, I sure as Hell WISH HE WAS SILENT. Him and his friggin' flowers. What a loser. --BlueHighwind 02:32, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
Oddly enough, I agree with most of what BH said. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 02:38, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
I honestly like him more. Xepscern 02:46, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
Vaan is a great character, both in FFXII and in Dissidia. Firion is only a good fighter, but average character. SidVI 06:20, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
This vote is based on the fact, that Vaan wears his FFTA2 outfit. MirrorshardSceada 09:36, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
BH voted for Vaan? *scans the skies for porcine aviators* -- SorcerorNobody 12:10, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
For one thing, Vaan is not a great hero when looked at standing next to Balthier. Next to Firion or Tidus or some of the other dumb/annoying ones Vaan looks like a hero. Not to mention he has great stats in XII. Yes, XII. That would win my vote almost anytime.AlVan 21:00, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
While in XII, I just want to strangle him, in XII:RW and 012 he is actually likeable. MystRay 23:37, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
No contest. And that say's something. Armageddon11! 18:52, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

Last Week's Fight
This Week's Fight!
WINNER Quistis 18-12
Votes for Shantotto
The greatest wizard of all the age, fighting against a teenage girl who isn't even a real Blue Mage! This contest is the unfairest you ever did see, because it's obviously stacked in the favor of me! O~HOHOHOHOHO!!! Jimcloud 00:55, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
No... The rhyming is starting again... I'll still support her. MystRay 00:59, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
You DO KNOW that Shantotto has the same voice actor as Dexter. SidVI 12:36, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
Why, this matchup is less than no contest at all! Certainly, there can be no reason why Ms. Trepe should not be the one to fall! I am a mage most accomplished, and I'll make no concession; for the wench opposite me is a disgrace to the Blue Mage profession! O-hohohohoho~ -- ShantottoNobody 16:18, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
Two teachers who probably shouldn't be teaching. Razordash 03:40, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
I'm going with the lady who rhymes and has the destructive power of a miniature nuclear bomb. --Marael 04:03, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
The comments above have described me precisely; a short add-on quip will suffice quite nicely. Blue Magic so limited is but a paltry piece of the pie; it's nothing against a true Professor such as I! OHOHOHOHOHO~ 8bit 04:15, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
I shall vote for the diminutive mage with quite remarkable power... 00:26, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
She is an old B!tch! But She is so cute when she says: "I've seen enough!" as an assist in Dissidia! Anyways, she wasn't good in Dissidia either, but when her manafont ability changed in Duodecim, she became one of the hardest to use, and most frustrating characters of all!--LonelyRose 10:13, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
I'm getting pretty annoyed at all this stupid hate for XI where hardly anyone of those hating it has given it a real chance in the first place... MirrorshardSceada 23:00, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
I never loved Shantotto and the way she's laughing--Hotdragon 295 17:03, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
Sexy or rhymes? Hm... lolcontest. --ShirubaKurono 00:31, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
^ That. Quistis is one of my favorite characters, and that... thing... may as well not exist in the abomination that is FFXI. Even if Shantotto IS in Dissidia, she annoys the hell out of me. TheBlueDragoon23:40, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
Despite Jimcloud's epic rhyming rationale, I have to go with Quistis. She was playable in a main-series game that wasn't an MMO, not that I have anything against them. I wouldn't even know of Shantotto if it weren't for the Dissidia series. Kamikaze Pardee 01:34, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
True here as well. Didn't learn of Shantotto until Dissidia. King of Noobs 21:33, August 19, 2011 (UTC)
I never heard of her either until Dissidia. Hell I never heard of 1/3 of the characters in Dissidia until I played it. Razordash 03:42, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
@Rhyme haters: You're all just afraid of the Tarutaru's vast intellect... but faced with such a display, what else could one expect? -- SorcerorNobody 23:48, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
Not...rhymes? I mean, rhyme=/=smart. If that were true then...well....every rapper is smarter than most of us. User:R8.50Mango/Sig2 14:48, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Obviously this explains why they like to refer to a nine millimetre gun as a "nine" because that's such a complicated word with lots of syllables that really shows off their inpressive rhyming abili-oh, my sarcasm meter just exploded. Anyway, for even daring to compare rap to rhyming:
*fires a nine at Mango. By which he means nine orbs of nega plasma* -- SorcerorNobody 14:55, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Well of course rappers are thick. Because rhymes=/=smart. And do you deny that rap contains rhymes? User:R8.50Mango/Sig2 15:01, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
A typical rap consists of a string of barely intelligible words that form a cohesive and meaningful sentence only in the best case scenario, with a very simple word tacked on the end so it can make an easy rhyme. This is not remotely comparable to Shantotto, whose rhymes are eloquently constructed. Also, Shantotto doesn't go on and on about guns, drugs, and smacking one's bitch up -- SorcerorNobody 15:08, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't say anything about all rap. I said typical rap. For example, Jay-Z's rap in Empire State of Mind completely and utterly destroys the song. Perhaps the best example I know of a talented rapper is Eminem; he most certainly is not thick, and his rap technique is... well, exactly that, a technique, rather than just throwing a bunch of unimaginative crap together and dubbing it over a bland beat. Then, of course, you have things like White and Nerdy, which is considerably more coherent and interesting than the song it parodies -- SorcerorNobody 15:58, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not afraid to take a step to tell you I love the way you lie" because you went to rock bottom and took me with you, but we as Americans had a guilty conscience, so we let you go down the yellow brick road so I can teach you the way I am so you don't lose yourself. Ya Eminem has a lot of hits, so being a rapper or rhymer is pretty rewarding...SquallRocks00:24, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
