FB conversation on FF15:
"There's a good story buried in FF15 somewhere. It just can't tell it for shit. [...] It's actually really frustrating, because as I said, the story is good, but feels half-baked. It's full of big exposition dumps, major characters amounting to nothing or even just flat out disappearing from the plot, huge important events happening offscreen and barely mentioned, pointless flashbacks interspersed seemingly at random, a complete lack of character development for anybody but the 4 main dudebros and the main villain, and the absolute necessity that you watch a movie (sold separately / collector's edition exclusive) for huge plot points or you'll have no idea what the fuck. You can tell the game was rushed to completion, because it is absolutely incomplete."
RE: obvious upcoming DLC
"That parts really egregious. It's known that there will be DLC "episodes" that let you play as the other 3 dudebros, and it's kind of obvious where in the plot they will take place. One of your dudes basically says at one point "Yo I gotta go take care of some shit that I'm not going to tell you about or even hint at what it is and disappear for this chapter, peace!" and comes back covered in scars. When asked about it, his answer is legit "You should see the other guy."
SE has also come out and acknowledged how bad the final stretch is presented and will be releasing free DLC with more cutscenes to help fill in the gaping plotholes. It's Mass Effect 3 all over again."
