Celes Chere

My Uncle who had beaten Covid-19, and was in high relative spirits recently, has just passed away this afternoon.

I didn't know until I got from my mom that my Uncle died, and I was busy having an afternoon snooze, so I was unaware of the sad news until recently.

I have just one question for Final Fantasy Fans, in order to try and take my mind of this sad news, and try to cheer up the best way possible.

If Lola and Maranda remembered Celes Chere for what she did to them, then why didn't Lola attack Celes Chere, and why didn't Maranda just use an angry mob to hound Celes Chere out of town?

I am just coping with this loss the best I can, and I hope that I will be better in a few days.

Merry Christmas to everyone on Final Fantasy Wiki, since I wish everyone here to have a Merry Christmas, as well as a Happy Ending to 2021.

Here is a Quick Question: On the Floating Continent, why didn't Celes Chere Stab Emperor Gestahl instead of Kefka Palazzo?

Anyway, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New 2022 (hopefully better than the previous two years).

We all know about the three Magitek Empire Generals:

1) General Kefka Palazzo who wants to gain power and become more crazier, which is why he commits all sorts of evil for himself.

2) General Leo Christophe who wants to be honourable and give the empire a human face to relate to.

And,

3) General Celes Chere who is in between the two.

Then there is Emperor Gestahl who wants to gain power and become more evil, which is why he commits all sorts of evil for himself and his empire.

However, there are two questions on my mind that are to do with Celes Chere, as she has done one heinous act that makes her more on the same lines with Emperor Gestahl.

Here are the following questions:

1) Why did General Celes Chere commit a heinous atrocity in Maranda?

And,

2) What was her motive behind committing such an evil act?

I just don't understand how someone kind, who is in between General Leo Christophe, General Kefka Palazzo, and Emperor Gestahl, would commit such an evil act of terror. That would ruin the reputation of General Celes Chere, and Locke Cole would never forgive her, and even Lola doesn't forgive her for what she did to her boyfriend (that was enlisted into the Magitek Empire, and then killed when Kefka took over the world).

I just need Final Fantasy Fans to help me make sense of Celes's state of mind at the Maranda Atrocity.

If Square Enix does a Final Fantasy VI-2 (I know it might be impossible, but fingers crossed anyways), should Cid be alive or dead?

But another question would be is this, which outcome is real and canon: Celes failing to save Cid, or Celes succeeding to save Cid?

Personally, I would like to see Cid alive for the future, since Cid being saved gives Celes a beacon of hope to carry on living (I am aware of the seagull with Locke's Bandana, but that is still after Cid dies, which just makes it just bittersweet), and yes, Final Fantasy VI is supposed to be very dark and bleak, but I would like to see a bit of hope and some light to make Final Fantasy VI not all doom and gloom.

But what do people think and prefer?
