Before Crisis, for those who don't know, is a game from the FFVII Compilation. It recounts events involving the Turks.
The game only released in Japan, but apparently fans have been making or have already made an English version. Not sure.
Anyway, last weekend I spent the days watching a playthrough of the game, as I know I won't play it, but I really wanted to know more about it, know what happens there. Thankfully, I found a good one on Youtube.
Overall, I really liked it and I would love to play it.
Getting into some more details. Let's start by characters.
I didn't get a good look at some, but overall all the playable Turks seemed amazing. I discovered Elena has a sister and that Cissnei is Shuriken. Also, someone was very inspired to name the Turks; they are literally named after their weapon of choice.
All party members from the original FFVII appear. For a moment there I thought Vincent wouldn't, but he does, for a short time. You also see Dine, Red's girlfriend.
Some characters were really bothering me with their younger version, like Rufus and Cid. They looked so weird. Seriously, who ruined Rufus's hair?! Gosh, at least his hair is better at the end.
Azul and Shalua, characters from Dirge of Cerberus, also appear, which surprised me. Never thought I would see any of them outside from Dirge of Cerberus (not counting the fact FFVII Remake is joining everything and Nero and Weiss have already appear)
AVALANCHE was quite a shock. Since you are a Turk, they are the enemy, but gosh, they look nothing alike the AVALANCHE you know from FFVII. It's...... Sorta cool. Also, Fuhito is an asshole.
My only disappointment was that Genesis didn't appear. Sephiroth appears, Zack appears, but Genesis and Angeal don't. My poor boys.....
I didn't got to understand the gameplay very well, as the subtitles were only for story it seemed. But, still, it looked pretty fun. Having a specific area for battle and moving around while avoiding enemies attacks.
As for story, it was basically missions. Which it's obvious, but also thrilling. Some seemed pretty tough. The different challenges you have to go through, the different places you visit. All seemed amazing and gosh, the plot twists. Those were the best. Even if you manage to form them before they happen, they still hit hard.
Another thing I really loved was the battle theme. Certainly one of my favorites. It was actually the only music I paid attention to........ It's good, what do you want?
I really liked it. My guys were being gays and my gays were being guys.

Right, that should lead y'all to the playlist I watched. Just in case anyone wants to watch it too.
Now, just gotta watch a playthrough of Crisis Core, as I know I won't play that one anytime soon, perhaps never.
And as for Dirge of Cerberus...... I'd like to see if I manage to get my hands on it before watching anything.
