I've heard people complaining about the huge amount of minigames in the whole remake, especially in Rebirth. I don't think that world needs more than what they've already given. Might drive fans crazier than what they already are, in a bad way.
Maybe, but it feels redundant, seeing we are already playing a JRPG. D&D, as well as other TTRPGs, likely wouldn’t translate well. It would probably wind up like FF (the first) but with dice.
