Hey people, I was kind of surprised that the first 6 Final Fantasy games have had HD remakes on the PlayStation Portable and mobile devices. Do you ladies and gentlemen like how there are HD remakes of classic Final Fantasy games?

It certainly is good that those older games have more recent version with better graphics and improvement in gameplay. Not like I would know them myself, since I'm stuck with the Ps1 versions.
But I do like it. That, and now the Pixel Remaster that brought the old pixel style, more SNES/Ps1/ original version back, without those extra dungeons that some newer version had, or in FFIII bring the adventure with the Onion Knights instead of the 3D Remaster characters.
Now we wait for Dirge of Cerberus to leave Ps2 and get a Remaster in some other console so people finally acknowledge it.
There is some nostalgic values to the old snes and playstation version, but the HD remakes are beuatifull and once you played them its hard going back to pixel palace
If by HD remakes you meant the versions of PSP and so on? Except III, that is whole another can of worms.
Then yes, they are indeed better. Better looking IMO (especially IV PSP, they really made the game look gorgeous) and have additional content from GBA versions.
However the previous mobile versions of V and VI are now inaccessible because Square, in their infinite wisdom, decided to delist those versions instead of allowing them to coexist like, you know, VIII and VIII Remastered. They are also a lot more controversial regarding their graphics - I personally don't mind them, but a lot of people went "REEEEEE, THEY TOUCHED THE SACRED SPRITES".
Also, sorry Corujinha, I doubt Dirge of Cerberus is gonna get acknowledged much, outside of Ever Crisis that is. It's not bad, decently adapting to being a TPS on a console, and even having keyboard+mouse support, but I really can't call it anything more than "not bad".
What do you think?
