Ok, so, Sefiros, right? Aka laughable material and worse character ever created, because really, what even is this guy, is he even anything at all, but that's a talk that apparently only applies to me. Now, think of his Safer version, the last challenge of the game. Yeah, the one you can make harder by having everyone at level 99 and using Knights of the Round against the previous JENOVA fight. And that means I did exactly that. And although he loses 100HP every time you defeat the head against Bizarro, it only died once for me (Bizarro was defeated in two Knights of the Round, and the battle theme is still more epic than the following one. Why couldn't they keep it? My ears would be pleased).
I can't prove I used Knights of the Round against JENOVA, I didn't take photos of that, and I don't film, so that one was out from the beginning, but I can prove I have everyone at level 99 and explain what transgressed during the fight.
First, everyone's levels (photos taken before Bizarro's fight):
And here's a photo of Cloud's stats, since my original plan was checking if Safer at his highest would survive Omnislash (he did):
Things to keep in mind: I didn't use a single Source on Cloud. The ones I had (because sure I'm crazy, but in no way would I spend time in the Gelnika morphing enemies non-stop just to max my stats) they all went to Vincent, who did had the lowest stats before I spent it all on him.
So, everyone level 99 and Knights of the Round against JENOVA: ✅. Here's how the "big threat" that is Safer went down.
Like I said previously, I was trying to see if he would die in a single Omnislash like happened first time I played (which is still the best fight I ever had against this joke from the three times I've played because the lyrics never started). So, obviously, Cloud had the first hit with what you can clearly see from the photos is an Omnislash. He was dealing around 4000 of damage each time, so 15x4000 was what Omnislash dealt. Unfortunately for me, he didn't die.
Then he casted Wall, and I didn't bother with taking it away because Vincent was the only that could do so due to his Master Magic materia (no, the Destruct materia wasn't equipped on anyone else) and he had better things to do, aka spam Knights of the Round. So, obviously, the next thing that happens is a Double Knights of the Round (yes, I had the W-Summon materia). Because of Wall, it was only dealing around 3000-3500 per hit. He still didn't die and the lyrics had already started and going, since this summon is the longest, so extra pain for me.
Then the dumbass casts Shadow Flare on Vincent (if he was to cast it on someone, at least have it be on Cloud, his Enemy Skill materia was the only one that still didn't had it. Plus attacking Vincent is a big no for the enemy due to Magic Counter + Knights of the Round). Anyway, it actually missed, which I laughed a lot about. Since it missed, there was no counter.
Next thing that happens is another Double Knights of the Round, and he STILL breaths. In the meantime, literally just to pass the time, I had Cloud use Sense on him, which didn't work, and Cid use Flash on him, which also didn't work. Cloud then uses his 4-Cut, which deals some damage (I wasn't looking. Was busy starting this post and humming around Terra's Theme, Searching for Friends and A Place to Call Home to try, and fail at, ignoring the awful battle theme that was going on).
Vincent once again hits him with a Double Knights of the Round (in case you're wondering, I had MP Absorb + Master Summon, so after casting Knights of the Round, Vincent would get the MP back), though I'm not sure if he got hit by both or just the first one (I wasn't looking like I said previously), Sefiros had just flown higher like the brainless piece of trash he is, and then he dies. Cloud was going to 4-Cut him again and Cid was gonna use Shadow Flare if he hadn't died.
Cloud still got attacked at some point, because his limit break gauge filled a little. I think he covered Vincent after the first Double Knights of the Round or something like that.
I really don't get why people say he is hard and whatnot. The fight wasn't going as well as it could, namely because I didn't get rid of Wall which would speed things up had I done so, and yet I was more entertained at writing this than paying attention to the fight. And before someone comes and says "Well, of course the fight wasn't hard. You had Omnislash and Knights of the Round. Those things are OP", yeah, they are, and yet Omnislash didn't one-shot him like it did first time I played, not to mention he got hit not by the usual 3 Knights of the Round, but 5-6. Good day. And even if I wasn't writing this, I assure you I'd be more focused on whatever video I would be watching on Youtube, which would probably be some music to try and forget the abomination my TV was screaming. Thank god Those Chosen by the Planet plays during his final defeat. Welp, a third playthrough of FFVII done. Now to go to sleep because it's freaking 00:40a.m.
