I've said it lots of times, and I've said it in the guide I'm working on too. I go with the flow and level up without worrying, and apparently levelling up is really not a bad thing because of the stronger spells that became available relatively earlier (like Flare being drawn from Tri-Face right by the end of Disc 2, in Galbadia Garden. Or Tonberry King having better healing spells for you to Draw Cast while fighting it).
I guess I understand the thing of not wanting to level up, but I really fail to see how that's advantageous and, on top of that, pratical, because it sounds like way too much work to just do everything to not level up, or barely level up, whereas you can openly ignore that and simply go, level up as if it is any other FF game and there's no problem at all, much from the opposite, it's quite an advantage.
