Luneth isn't definitely. He's a child. Firion is in his twenties. Terra is 18/19 years. Cecil is in his twenties during FFIV, now add 17 years for The After Years. Bartz is in his twenties too, and so is Cloud.

The oldest is Lightning, period.

But if we only count the main line games

Then it's Clive, from FFXVI, that's 28 years old. Lightning is 21 years old in FFXIII.

Plus, a poll certainly isn't the way to ask a question like this..... And research isn't hard, man.

Lightning is technically the oldest of you count her time in Valhalla. Which would be around 1,000 years old.

Well, the thing is, Quina and Red aren't the prtagonists.

And speaking of Red, there's that 500 years timeskip at the end of FFVII, so you know he is over 500 years old by then.

As for Lightning, apparently this guy is not counting sequels, so those 1000 years she has in Lightning Returns don't count.

I guess it’s how a person defines protagonist. There can be multiple protagonist. But that’s a matter of opinion and wasn’t clearly defined from what was posted but I get what you mean.
