Or, if you don't want to waste time chasing a weapon, check the list of possible locations where it will appear and just go there. Simple.

It always starts out in the same spot but once it starts flying around, if you don't chase it it will be hard to find, it never stops until you ram it a few times with the airship. I did look up how to track it down but there is nothing about its flight patterns.

Also, I have a new least favorite part of FFVII. The Iron Giants. I fought Sephiroth again today just for fun before my big plans, and I ran into three of them in a row at the Point of No Return. NOT a good enemy to fight right before the final bosses since they have a lot of HP, they hit for a lot of damage, they have auto-Wall, and running from them can be hard. Good thing I used the W-Item Materia glitch to get lots of Megalixirs. I wish those enemies weren't a thing here, or that you could run from them easier.

I never once used God Mode this playthrough (but I did speed up some parts), but it's amazing how this playthrough I was so overpowered I actually had to hold back against Sephiroth (having Tifa use Flamethrower instead of Bahamut or Ultima, though I did have Yuffie attack regularly) so I could hear the full song. Once all three characters (especially Cloud) got their Limit Breaks in of course (following Supernova), it was all over.

Does it stop without you ramming it? I remember last few times I hunted it I flew around for like an hour before seeing it flying. Last night, I rammed it with my airship until it flew over to a specific location to stop. And when it disappeared... At first I'm like "Oh no where is he?" Then, figured maybe it was time for the final battle and headed to Cosmo Canyon... and there he was.

I might not be watching live, plus I have IX, VI, and V planned before I get back to VIII (if ever), does he have videos archived of his streams like NovaLightSky with Breath of the Wild, Paper Mario, etc.?

Why not have the live up while playing? That's what I do. I have the live up and I'm playing FFX at the same time.

As for it getting archived, I believe it does. I myself had to watch certain lives after they were over to follow the game, or because I liked it so much (Nier Automata for example). However, from my phone, I can't actually see how many lives he has done, and I can only watch the previous one made. I don't know if on the computer is different.

I suppose I could. I might have a better understanding of the game now that I've played it, even if I haven't beaten it yet. Last time with Magemasher's playthrough I was just watching to summarize the full story, and didn't get much of how the gameplay worked like Junctions. Now I know exactly how they work. I just wish I could do more Junctions for more powerups.

When it is flying, you ram into it and Cid makes a comment about how powerful its energy it is and how he won't give up, keep doing that and eventually it will fly in a straight line and stop above a town or somewhere, then when you fly the airship into it, you fight it. I noticed above Midgar, the battle arena was Midgar Highway. I spammed Neo Bahamut and Ultima on it while having Yuffie attack with her Ultimate Weapon (no pun intended) so there would be fewer fights, and before I knew it, it was at Cosmo Canyon.

Ultimate Weapon.... The one that walks towards Midgar and wrecks the place (and delivers us an awesome Rufus scene) is the Diamond Weapon, right? That's the only one I remember ramming into. Ultimate Weapon I just remember finding in the places the wiki says it might stop; like I said, I don't even remember seeing it flying around.

As for FFVIII, my friend is kinda just rushing through it, sorta. He didn't even stock on spells properly and that's bothering me a lot, but oh well.

Yes, Diamond Weapon is the one that slowly walks toward Midgar, when you defeat it, it shoots lasers at Shinra Building and blows up Rufus, killing him as far as this game is concerned (though Expanded Universe stuff says he somehow survived), while Scarlet and Heidegger fire the Sister Ray at the same time and kill Diamond Weapon while simultaneously destroying the barrier around Sephiroth's lair. Ironically, they help you out here... before trying to kill you inside a big mech, but despite having lots of HP, it's not a tough battle IMO (unlike its FFXIII counterpart).

So, Ultimate Weapon can actually stop on its own even if you don't ram into it? My strategy last night was to fly after it immediately after each fight (where other playthroughs I'd stop to heal first, but I realized once it's stopped I can heal on the airship and it will still be there.)

Oh, and it is Helletic Hojo in the Switch version
