Once I either beat or give up on Final Fantasy VIII, I've also gotten FFX on Switch while it was on sale. Which sounds like it might be fun and not too difficult as it's sometimes been recommended as the first game for beginners.
So, the usual, what are some critical tips that first-time players might not think to do? Stuff that would be too easy to miss like the Blood Sword in FFII, Mog in FFVI, the Ribbons in FFVII, etc.? Some hidden strategies to otherwise difficult bosses (like having Kain jump before Bahamut's Mega Flare in FFIV, or powering up Freelancers by maxing certain jobs in FFV), etc.? Stuff like Thievery, Dragon Crest, and Frog Drop in FFIX?
Also, should I use my Pro Controller for it and connect it however you do that? I'm paranoid about joycon drift with my main controller, as some motions with the control stick can cause that and ruin every game for you until you send it in to Nintendo to get it fixed. Because I know X is more 3D than the first nine and might not use control pad for motion at all (correct me if I'm wrong here).
