Joycon drift is something that happens to the joycons themselves, not to specific games, so, if joycon drift occurs, it will affect any and all games that accept input from the affected joysticks.

Joycon drift..... A joycon and an analog are the same right? Bet they are, pretty sure they are.

Don't worry, my current PS2 controller sometimes makes the characters automatically move to the left out of nowhere, but it isn't anything grave. Doesn't happen always and it doesn't really impacts anything. Not so far, at least.

I think it has also happened with previous controllers, but I don't recall that being the reason we stop using them. Normally, they just completely stopped working or the more important buttons, like the triangle, SELECT and START didn't work. That happened when I was playing FFXII.

But the game certainly wasn't the reason it got like that. It's just because of the amount of time we spend playing and how much we use the analog and/or buttons. It's all due to use, not game.

Owl switch is very infamous for having their controlers on joystick drift. In fact, Nintendo had to face many law suits just cuz the switch controllers suck so bad that it'll drift to a different location. And yes a joystick is the same as an analog stick for the PS1/2.

I actually had this problem for FFVIII and I'll let u know it's very annoying and you'll have kinda a harder time to select commands in that game(while using the joystick itself), so yes @KillRoy231 use the pro controller if you have one, cuz it worked for me.

Oh my bad owl, I meant joystick for the joycons are the same as analog sticks, while a joycons is a controller for the Switch

As I understand it, certain motions with the control stick (the joycon) on Switch can sometimes lead to joycon drift which will make all games virtually unplayable until you either get a new remote (and one day there won't be) or send it in to Nintendo to get it repaired.

I just want to know that FFX doesn't have any such motions that will cause joycon drift and ruin all other games for me. (I hear Kirby and the Forgotten Land can do that)

Or, I could just use the Pro Controller, it doesn't get that but I don't know how to switch controllers like that. (Maybe it's simpler than I imagined, I haven't even taken it out of its box yet)

Has anyone here played FFX on Switch? And if so, has anyone ever gotten joycon drift from it? (The only game I've really played that uses control stick instead of control pad is Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. And also the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, I think)
