Sephy with the same plan. I mean, why would square change his iconic "mother" and "god" plan. One of the reasons on why this is a bad plan is cuz half of the fans of the OG game hates this remake cuz on how much unnecessary changes this remake has. I mean some changes are good, but if they even changed sephy's plan then they're changing waay too much for the plot of the remake, let alone this will change the whole game and might as well change the whole timeline

Square: We are doing the Remake of FFVII, everyone!

Fans: Yay! Yeah! Best news ever!

Square: *makes some changes, including give depth to certain characters*

Fans: What have you done?! My baby!!! You killed it!!! How dare you?!?!

And then people want to change the story completely🤡. Talk about bipolarity.

Yeah I find it ironic on how many fans begged for a remake at least for 1-2 decade(s) then they get it then they complain about it.

Although I do like some of the chances like their deeper char dev(except for Tifa) or things like how Tseng specifically captured Areis, but then we get some unnecessary fillers. The thing is square announced everything like how much from the OG they'll cover up or how theyll make changes to the game and people still hyped it up, but now only half of them love it which is too ironic

Humans are waaaay to complex to understand. Let alone satisfy.

Sephiroth with the same crap, just give me a Rufus fight when they raid Midgar again instead of the other BS and I’ll be happy

I could see them having Hojo hijack Sephiroth and take the fall. I bet zero fans would be sad to see Hojo die again if he's just as bad here as in the original.

They should force you to take Vincent to kill Hojo, as Hojo is Vince's nemesis.

I wonder if they'll add Dirge of Cerberus's story. I suppose it would be cool to be Omega Weapon getting once again beaten the crap off by only Vince. That and/or the enemy of Before Crisis, Zirconiade.

Yeah having Vincent kill hojo would be the best thing imo. Don't give it to poster boy cloud, he deserves to kill sephiroth everytime while Vincent kills Hojo. This is they reason why I made chaos Vincent finish off all of Hojo's forms, including human Hojo.

But yeah they better not mess up Deirge of Cerberus.

Sephiroth does imply that there is a greater force in the Remake Continuity. Maybe a completely new villain who is obsessed with balancing good and evil, and was crafting the characters destinies.

Later playthroughs of the original I put Vincent in the party with Cloud and Tifa for Hojo fight. The first two of these times he kept putting Vincent to sleep in his third form, preventing Vincent from doing much. The third time, I gave him a Headband or whatever blocks Sleep, and he got a Limit Break from the last fight before Hojo, so he spent the whole fight in Berserk form. So he did get many hits on Hojo, though in the end Tifa finished him off.
