About Paine and Squall, they certainly emit the same aura. Not only do they wear black clothes, with little red (or more reddish) details, but both wield a sword (Squall's a gunblade, Paine's a normal sword) that honestly look alike, I at least can imagine Squall's Revolver in Paine's hand, even though it's obvious it isn't the same weapon, but Paine's weapon is so blank in comparison to Yuna's and Rikku's, that imagining it isn't hard. There's also the fact Paine only speaks when she deems worth it, just she is more introverted, like Squall. They do share traits.
As for FFX-2, I am surprised with the results of the poll. I could swore more people would vote for the third and last option. So far, Evrae voted the third one (which considering she went for 100% in every FF game and as yet to play just those games almost no one knows of, it's somewhat understandable. Also, there's some pretty annoying things to 100% the game, like a quest where you have to talk with every citizen there is, but it's not just once, it's once every chapter. I think the quest starts during Chapter 2, so it's 4 chapters of pain to travel all around and speak with people [Chapters 2, 3, 4 and 5. Yes, there's only a total of 5 chapters in the game. Also, 3 or 4 is the smallest one, it's when 1000 Words happens.]. So that's awful) and Vivi voted the last one. Meh, it's all good.
