If there is a soundtrack that I just love to hear is FFXII's. Not that the others are bad, but it's such a great soundtrack and its musics are awesome.
All the others are awesome too, but honestly, as much as FFIX is one of my favorite games, its soundtrack only stays high mainly because of Kuja's 5 themes, alongside others, obviously, but still. FFVIII has amazing music as well, I really like it. From those that get you really hyped for battle to the calming ones that let your tension go; same goes to FFXV, whose soundtrack I listened to some days ago. I could hear comfort in every music, from the blues to Hammerhead, who gives a more country feeling, passing through Boys on the Road, that gives such a boyband feeling, and even RAVUS AETERNA passes comfort (though I suppose that could also be because he is my favorite character).
But FFXII gives the sense of freedom and of capture in their respective places. Manages to reward your boss fights with the best reward ever, the Victory Fanfare, and really manages to take out every feeling you can imagine.
