Five days away from the Steam release of Final Fantasy V, and now might be a good time to ask for tips in advance.
So, if I understand right from what I heard already, there's the job system, which is different from III, as your job levels don't increase your stats, just give you new moves, and for each job you level to maximum, that character's Freelancer becomes more powerful, and it takes a max level Freelancer to beat Exdeath.
And there's some strategies for Atomos I took note of. Like cast the Blue Mage attack that halves the level then cast Level 5 Death (forget which enemies you learn them from but took note of them already).
So, any things that are missable that I am likely to overlook? (Like some powerful items or hidden Ribbons? Seeing as how there is one window to get the Blood Sword in FFII) And which jobs should I go with at the start? (Of course I'll want one White Mage, but I will be able to switch easier. Who should be the White Mage? Or does it matter?)
Are there any other ways of beating Exdeath that doesn't involve maxing every character's job?
Also, I know in the final dungeon there are two superbosses. Will I know them when I see them and be able to avoid fighting them, like Emerald Weapon? Or will they jump out of a chest like Imperial Shadow and get me a game over in the middle of the final dungeon?
