You CAN unlock all other jobs and switch between them on the go by simply equipping a different weapon type. However, you have to level each job separately.

You CAN put a team and journey/do quests together... but most people don't bother, since non dungeon/trial/raid quests are generally soloable, and for dungeons/trials there's Duty Finder (and Trust system for Shadowbringers dungeons), though I don't know about Raids.

In fact the Trust system is the closest you get to a past games-like party, and even then it's only usable in Shadowbringers dungeons.

No idea, I never played it since I don't have much money, so I'm just saying what I learned from videos :)

You can pay for a month at a time if you want. You don't have to remain permanently subscribed once you start. It's much more complicated to play than a normal FF, but that's just because it's an MMO. You can also play old content without the most recent expansions, but if you buy an expansion ALWAYS only buy the most recent one, because it includes ALL of the previous expansions. For example, if you were to buy Shadowbringers, you'd also get Heavensward and Stormblood.

As for your question about jobs, yes, you can access all jobs on one character. Unless you plan on spending a ton of extra time to level multiple jobs up during the story, you'll end up playing one throughout it, as new missions require a minimum level to undertake, and you'll be that level if you stick to one job.

You can change class and job but to get get job when starters+rouge classes hit Lv 30 after do lv 30 class quest and then lv30 job quest also need to stick with 1 class till you are told you can unlock other jobs you see Lv1 side quest icons with a + for other class to unlock till best to stick with on class/job till you get max level cause then lower level class/jobs will gain more exp too

You'll unlock Gear Sets at some point to save Gear Sets to for each class/job that is how you switch class/jobs after you unlock Gear Sets open gear sets press the (+) button to make the 1st gear set for your 1st class then after unlock other class's you can change the weapon then open gear sets again and press the (+) button to add new saved Gear Set then update sets after you equip new gear.
